Hello My Dear Readers
Today I have brought for you a new and true incident-based horror story, which is set in a small town. The names of the characters and the place have been kept secret, and the characters’ names have been changed. This is the scary struggle of a student named Mohan. So let's begin today's story!
A Boy Came Home After School
Mohan came home after school. The door was locked from the inside. He rang the bell and waited. From inside, he heard his mother’s voice, “Yes, I’m coming.” The door opened. His birthday party preparations were going on inside, but Mohan didn’t pay attention. He went to his room.
His mother noticed sadness on his face. Maybe he had too much homework. She called out, “Son, I have kept your food in your room. Eat it. I’m making your birthday cake.” Mohan replied, “Yes, Mother,” and closed the door.
He placed his school bag on the table, changed his clothes, and went to take a bath. After some time, he ate his food.
Birthday Party and Uneasiness
Soon, his mother called again, “Mohan, your cake is ready. Your school friends are waiting. Come quickly!” Though Mohan wasn’t in the mood, he joined the party. Cake was cut, wishes were made, singing and dancing followed, and the party ended late at night — around 1:15 AM.
He couldn’t sleep. A strange uneasiness surrounded him. Somehow, he turned over and fell asleep.
The Terrifying Dream
Suddenly, he saw a horrible dream. Two headless bodies were strangling him. He screamed, “Help me!” and woke up in fear. He turned on the light — his body was drenched in sweat. His throat hurt. In the mirror, he saw finger marks on his neck. Frightened, he washed his face and returned to bed.
He noticed a scary shadow at the window, calling him. Terrified, he hid under his quilt and fell asleep again.
The Flashback: Breaking the Pot
He remembered seeing two black cats fighting near the road after school. A pot was between them. He threw a stone to stop them. The pot broke. Inside it were vermilion, sweets, thorns, and meat pieces.
As he touched it, darkness fell before his eyes, and he heard the cats’ cries. Scared, he ran home and told no one. He now felt that his action had invited the horror. Those cats were the same spirits that haunted him in his dream.
Another Nightmare
One day, after shopping, his friends left early, and he came alone. Perhaps if he wasn’t alone, nothing would’ve happened.
That night, he saw the same dream again. The headless corpses tied him with rope and hurt him with nails. He screamed, “Why are you doing this?”
The ghosts replied, “You stopped us from eating. Now suffer the consequences.” Mohan begged, “I didn’t know.” They said, “Come back on the night of Amavasya with food in the pot at the same place.”
The Morning After
Mohan woke up at 10:00 AM. His parents were ringing the bell. He said, “I’m not well, I can’t go to school.” His mother noticed marks on his neck and asked, “What happened?” He lied, saying it must have happened while sleeping. The doctor was called. He gave medicines and said Mohan just needed rest.
Night of Amavasya
Two days later, the night of Amavasya arrived. Mohan secretly placed meat, sweets, vermilion, and nails in a pot and waited. At around 1:00 AM, he stepped out quietly with the pot and a torch.
The night was silent. Animal cries echoed. He was terrified but walked ahead. Reaching the spot, he saw the same two black cats. Their yellow eyes shone.
Encounter with the Spirits
Frightened and trembling, Mohan slowly placed the steaming pot of food in front of the two headless ghosts. He couldn't breathe properly. His hands were shaking as if they would drop the pot any second. As he turned back to leave, a cold wind brushed past him. When he glanced over his shoulder, what he saw made his heart stop — the two headless ghosts were sitting cross-legged on the ground, fighting over the food like wild animals. Their laughter was horrible, echoing through the dark street like a curse.
Just as Mohan tried to run, a Horror voice screamed behind him,“Wait! Your task isn't over yet!” Another voice added, “Drop some of your blood here, or we will enter your dreams and kill you in your sleep!” Before he could even scream, Mohan felt a sharp pain in his wrist — he collapsed to the ground, unconscious. When he woke up hours later, it was morning. His wrist had a deep cut, and it was bleeding slowly. He looked around — there was no one. No food, no ghosts, just silence. Terrified and dizzy, Mohan ran back to his home, not daring to look back.
Aftermath
From that night, Mohan stopped seeing those scary dreams. But the fear remained in him for a long time. He later met tantriks and aghoris, but no one gave him clear answers.
They all said, “You’re lucky to be alive. Thank God.” After that, Mohan stopped searching for answers.
